for Sleep

This guide shares how to locate acupuncture points for self-massage to calm the mind and support restful sleep.

You can stimulate acupuncture points by applying firm pressure with your fingers and moving in a circular motion. Massage each point for 1 minute or longer.

You may feel energy shifting which can feel like a numbing, tingling, or rushing sensation. Typically, the most tender acupuncture points are the ones we most need. Breathe and observe how your body feels. 

*Note points to be avoided during pregnancy

  • Peaceful Sleep

    Location: In a depression behind the ear lobe.

  • Hall of Impression

    Location: The midpoint between the eyebrows.

  • Spirit Gate

    Location: On the wrist crease, in the depression in line with your pinky finger.

  • Inner Gate

    Location: From the inside wrist crease, measure 3 fingers-width up the arm.

  • Three Yin Intersection

    Location: From your inner ankle bone, measure 4 fingers-width up the leg, in a depression on the edge of the inner shin bone.

    Location: On the inside of the ankle, int the depression in front of the Achilles tendon
