I’m honored to be joining author Karen Wang Diggs and educator & artist Katie Quan in conversation about Karen’s latest work, The Book of Awesome Asian Women: Empresses, Warriors, Scientists, and Mavericks. This special event celebrates AANHPI Heritage Month and holds space for reflection, connection, and celebration of the stories often left out of history books.

Together, we’ll explore the impact of colonization on Asian women’s identities, challenge persistent stereotypes, and speak to the ways education and holistic health can be tools of empowerment.

Karen’s book continues the legacy of the Awesome Women series, spotlighting figures like Empress Wu Ze Tian, astronaut Dr. Soyeon Yi, and author Amy Tan. These stories remind us of the brilliance, resilience, and complexity of Asian women across time.
